Is the Free tier really free?

Yes. No credit card. No time limit. 5 users, 1 site, your choice of one suite at Essentials depth. Everything you build in Free carries forward when you upgrade. We don't gate “real” features behind a 14-day timer like most SaaS vendors — the Free tier exists for operators to genuinely try the platform with their own team and data.

Can I mix tiers across suites?

You can — each suite is priced independently, so you don't have to match tiers. But the cross-suite functionality lives at the same tier levels across suites, so to benefit from suites working together we suggest choosing the same tier for each suite you require. For example, all three suites at AI tier unlocks the cross-module daily executive summary — the single brief that synthesises across all seven AI managers.

Why is there no structural bundle discount for buying all three suites?

Because we price each suite to reflect the value it delivers individually, not to subsidise an all-in buyer. The all-three-AI bundle unlocks the cross-module daily executive summary — the single most operationally valuable feature in the platform — and that is the bundle's reward, not a price cut. We may run time-limited launch promotions to seed adopters (currently over 20% off Year 1 until 31 December 2026), but the long-term pricing structure is honest.

Why is the AI tier of each suite worth the jump from Plus?

The AI tier ships the AI Department Managers — specialist AI agents that brief you daily on what's overdue, drifting, or due for action. Each suite's AI tier ships its own manager(s) — H&S AI ships the AI Health & Safety Manager; Operations AI ships three (Checklist, Scheduling, Attendance); People AI ships three (HR, Training, Recruitment). That is the feature operators tell us pays the platform six times over.

Annual vs monthly billing?

Annual billing is roughly 20% cheaper than monthly. The pricing page defaults to annual because most operators prefer the discount; monthly is available for everyone who wants the flexibility. You can switch monthly to annual at any renewal point.

What happens to my data if I cancel?

You can export everything in CSV, PDF and structured JSON before cancelling. We hold your data for 30 days post-cancellation as a safety net, then permanently erase it. GDPR right-to-erasure can be triggered immediately if you prefer.

Do you offer discounts for charities, non-profits, or social enterprises?

Yes — email charities@assistantmanagerhq.com with your registration number. We typically waive 50% on annual plans for registered charities and social enterprises.

Is there a setup or implementation fee?

No setup fee. No implementation fee. Onboarding is included on every paid tier. Self-serve onboarding on Free and Essentials; assisted onboarding on Plus and above; dedicated onboarding manager on Enterprise.

What does the cross-module daily executive summary actually do?

One executive summary on the homepage every morning. It synthesises across all seven AI managers (Health & Safety, Attendance, Checklists, Scheduling, Training, HR, Recruitment) and surfaces — in 90 seconds — the day's overdue items, drift patterns, and action priorities across the entire operation. Each item has a one-click action button straight to the module. Replaces 90 minutes of dashboard chasing with 90 seconds of reading. Available only when all three suites are at AI tier.

GDPR Article 22 — what's that, and how does AMHQ honour it?

UK GDPR Article 22 restricts decisions made solely by automated processing where they have legal or significant effects on an individual. AMHQ is built so that no code path lets AI affect an individual alone — every candidate score, absence insight, control suggestion, scorecard, schedule draft and HR briefing is presented to a named human who acknowledges or rejects it before any downstream effect. We anonymise PII (names, emails, postcodes, DOB, NI) before any model call in candidate scoring and Bradford insights. GDPR Article 22 is honoured by code, not by policy. A DPO can review the prompt templates and audit trail and sign off in under 90 minutes.

What about in-app communications (chat, announcement feed, polls)?

Honest answer — not yet shipped. A Communications Hub (in-app chat, announcement feeds, polls) is on the Phase 2 product roadmap as a 12-month priority. If in-app comms is mission-critical for your operation today, our platform may not be the right fit yet. Most AMHQ customers run team comms over WhatsApp, Microsoft Teams or Slack and find that good enough for now.

Can I add a suite mid-term?

Yes. Adding a suite is a pro-rata charge for the remaining term plus the new suite's monthly rate from the next billing cycle. If adding a third suite during the launch-promotion window, the all-3 launch discount applies to all three suites for the remainder of Year 1.

Enterprise pricing?

For organisations with 250+ employees, multi-tenant org structures, or regulatory buyer requirements (SSO/SCIM, dedicated CSM, SLA, custom integrations, SOC 2 Type II evidence on request), contact sales for an Enterprise quote. Enterprise is a custom-priced agreement covering all three suites at AI tier with enterprise-grade integration, security and support.
